Exmouth Fishing Experience

Exmouth Fishing Experience

Bring your own boat or book an Exmouth Fishing charter. Tours are run daily and can be booked at our shop.

An experience not to be missed for the keen fisherman.

Not many gourmet delights can beat Red Emperor – straight off the barbie – caught by your own hand on the same day from some of the cleanest waters on the planet.

There is great fishing off the beaches around Exmouth and several deep sea and game fishing spots.

We provide a fish cleaning and brag bay for all the people staying at the park to clean their catch each day. The cleaning bay has bins provided that are emptied daily.

About 500 tropical and sub-tropical fish species have been identified in the area, but the best food fish are Snapper (nor west and pink), red emperor, groper and coral trout.

For the keen competition fisher, WA’s premier game fishing tournament ‘Gamex’ attracts more than 100 entrants each year. They attempt to tag and release some of the 44 species of game fish in the region, including Marlin, Sailfish, Mackerel, Tuna, Swordfish, Queenfish and Sharks.

The Exmouth Game Fishing Club claims more than 140 national and international game fish records.

Please remember fishing is Not Permitted in some Sanctuary Areas

Exmouth has protected marine park areas. Please ask us at the office for information on where fishing is permitted or view maps on the Ningaloo Sanctuary Zones – to view where fishing isn’t permitted.
